Hack the Future is a new series of events organized by SeedAI in partnership with the Wilson Center's Science and Technology Innovation Program to drive AI learning, assessment, and engagement deeper into communities traditionally left out of technological change.

Hack the Future will kick off in historic Greenwood, Oklahoma, in November in partnership with Black Tech Street; additional events will be held in Chicago, Cleveland, and Houston.

The first Hack the Future will take place in historic Greenwood, Okla. Greenwood, also known as “Black Wall Street,” embodies the socio-cultural complexities that must be built into the foundation of all AI research, education, and adoption efforts.

Hack the Future is organized by SeedAI in partnership with the Wilson Center’s Science and Technology Innovation Program. Testing of AI models will run on an open source testing and evaluation platform built by AI Village.

Hack the Future builds on the momentum from the Generative Red Team Challenge at DEF CON 31 in August where thousands of people tested AI generative large language models (LLM) built by Anthropic, Cohere, Google, Hugging Face, Meta, NVIDIA, OpenAI, and Stability AI for bias, potential harms, and security vulnerabilities.
